Company History

The original business of Falcon Travel which was started by Mr Tony Risby and can trace its origins back some 45 years. In 2012 Tony decided that it was time for him to retire, Richard our MD was looking for a new challenge. So a deal was struck, part of the deal was to incorporate the business as a Limited Company and this process was carried out and the business changed hands on the 1st June 2012.  The business remains in the ownership of the Telling Family,

The spring of 2015 saw the company hit a major milestone when the decision was taken to purchase the businesses first brand new coaches since 2003. After looking around at the market place the order was placed with Scania for 2 Scania K360 Irizar I6 luxury touring coaches and these went on the road on the 20th May 2015.   This saw the start of the fleet replacement program which has now scene a total of 13 brand new coaches added to the fleet since 2015, making the coach fleet now over 90% Euro 6 compliant.

The diversification of the business into Bus Operations started in September 2016 with the award by Surrey County Council of the businesses first local bus service the 514 & 515 services.

In October 2017 the business moved to its new home in Byfleet which is a purpose built Bus and Coach depot.  It is fully equipped with a 2 bay vehicle workshop, an automatic vehicle wash, bulk fuel storage, ample vehicle parking areas for the fleet and office accommodation.

Today in 2019 the company operates some 34 vehicles and employs over 60 staff on a range of operations from -

• Home to School Travel,
• School Private Hire for Educational Outings,
• Local Private Hire,
• Tourist Operations including Day Hire as well as Tours of the United Kingdon and Europe,
• Local Service Bus Operations,

Quite a change from 7 years ago when Falcon Coaches was first acquired with 4 vehicles, operating Home to School contracts.
